Impossibly extraordinary
Photographing Yellowstone National Park? Indescribable. This vast, surreal world of dynamic and living wonders with ever-changing vistas and diverse creatures staggers comprehension. Deciding what subjects and scenes to shoot is, well, overwhelming. Any part of the park is so huge and breathtaking that first you must take time to compose yourself before composing your shot. Photography only scratches the surface of this colossus stage of nature.
After entering the south end of Yellowstone, I I discovered practically any spot was a decent spot to shoot, so I patiently went from one scenic spot to another. Of course, there are the popular areas to shoot and those offer fantastic opportunities, but shooting off the beaten path is preferable. Photographically, the end results were satisfying and memorable.
